The Dotted Stripes Shawl

The Dotted Stripes Shawl

The Dotted Stripes Shawl

The Dotted Stripes shawl is an asymmetrical, elegant accessory that will fit perfectly into your wardrobe in multiple ways. You can wear it as a shawl to warm the upper torso and you can wear it as a big chunky scarf around the neck in the winter.

It’s worked in Quince & Co. Owl which I love but you can use another worsted weight yarn as well. Preferably one with 50 % alpaca and 50 % wool like Owl. But I guess that most worsted weight yarns would work for this shawl.

With this design, I wanted to use Mosaic knitting sparsely to make the dotted lines or stripes stand out in an elegant way.

The shawl is worked sideways in two colors starting from one point to the opposite side. Then the border at the bottom is worked. Lastly, the tassels are made and attached. The pattern features stockinette stitch, some simple mosaic knitting, moss stitch, and i-cord bind off.

The pattern is available in English and Danish and you can buy it in my shop and on Ravelry.
